Will said it was love at first sight, Hayley said he was a good conservationist. When Will proposed, he took Hayley on a scavenger hunt around Birmingham. It was so well thought out and each spot was one of their favorites around town ending at Vulcan where he got down on one knee and proposed. Afterwards, he took her to a planned dinner with all of their friends and family. You can read the full story here!
I loved getting to know Hayley and Will at their engagement session and had been looking forward to their wedding day ever since! Hayley and Will got ready and held their ceremony at the beautiful Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Hayley was at ease all morning and I think that was largely due to the incredible group of girls she was surrounded by. Her first look with her dad was one of the sweetest moments and was followed by joy-filled squeals when Hayleys bridesmaids saw her and her dress for the first time! Her sweet flower girl looked up at Hayley and told her how she looked like a princess all day and it melted us every. time. I loved Hayleys choice of purple, greens and golds sprinkled throughout her wedding details! It was such a great way to show off the beauty of spring in Alabama in a unique and classic way.
Being that Hayley is a Miss. Alabama title holder, my job was very easy. She was so comfortable in front of the camera and allowed me to capture so much of the joy and her and everyone around her felt on this perfect day. Hayleys dad helped marry Hayley and Will and it made for an extra special and emotion-filled ceremony. I love all the photos of Hayley and Will after they were just married. Those cheers, hugs, and squeals of excitement are truly my favorite moments to capture!
From the church we headed to the Birmingham Zoo Lodge to have an intimate celebration with their closet friends and family. From the family tree photos to the floral photo-booth, I loved all the intentional details of their reception. Hayley changed into a dress her mother made for her and displayed the outfit change for their first dances! Not only was she stunning but she radiated joy; the first dances were full of so much love and the biggest grins. As the sun set, guests danced to bluegrass players JD and The Man and then sent off Hayley and Will with a lavender exit. It was such a beautiful and easy day watching these two start their marriage journey. Hayley and Will, being a part of your day felt like hanging out with friends and family and I was so honored to be included!
