Ann Marshall and Greg :: New Orleans Wedding

October 19, 2017

He says she is intelligent, adventurous, and compassionate and she says he is empathetic, inventive, and hilarious.

I’m headed to New Orleans, LA this weekend for another great NOLA wedding and it had me reflecting back on being there this time last year for Ann Marshall and Greg’s New Orleans southern wedding. Ann Marshall and Greg met through Greg’s sister at an apartment party she threw. They are both fun-loving, easy-going, joy-filled people. In getting to know them though, I realized they are also deeply passionate. Passionate about each other, passionate about their careers, and passionate about fighting to make the world a better place. I traveled to New Orleans for their wedding and felt like I was a part of the family the whole day. We spent most of our morning at Hotel Provincial where Ann Marshall and her family and friends got ready, and where the Greg and his guys later met up with us. If their family photos below are an indication, these families have a unique and deep love for each other.

Ann Marshall and Greg got married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and I know two flower girls that took their job very seriously this wedding day. There are a lot of photos of those two little girls overjoyed to get to be with the ‘big girls’ that day. Always peaking around doors and looking up to see how to act and what to do. The photo of them walking down after the ceremony was over still is one of my favorites of all time- it captures true pride, nerves, and childlike excitement all at once. After a beautiful ceremony, we all celebrated next door at the Old Ursuline Convent. This venue is truly stunning! Although I think I’m biased considering it’s a blue and white building that fits the Love Be branding quite well ; )

These two knew who to get a party started. Both the bride and groom as well as each of their parents danced the night away – don’t miss the dance off between these three couples to the outcast cover of “Shake It” – so. good. Their reception was full of dancing and laughter and the photos should be proof of what a great celebration it was. The BEST bouquet catch photo there ever was is from this wedding. You. cannot. miss. this. photo.

Part of Ann Marshall and Greg’s story involved meeting at a Red Dress Run event, so Greg decided to surprise Ann Marshall at the end of the reception by coming out to the dance floor in a red dress. It was a hit and made for one epic dance party to end the night with before having a second line out to their exit on a pedicab – so NOLA!

Greg adores Ann Marshall and Ann Marshall adores Greg. From their first look to their exit, I captured so many images of Greg seemingly in awe of the woman he was getting to marry. Trust me, every single stolen glance was so genuine I found myself just smiling at the screen while editing their wedding day images. Ann Marshall and Greg, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day last Fall! I hope your first year of marriage has been wonderful, and I have loved watching your love and marriage grow from afar! Cheers to one year!
