New Orleans Engagement

August 30, 2017

Kathryn and Ned met at an Atlanta Braves game, and they are such a fun balance for each other! They love and laugh with ease when they’re together. It’s so clear how much calmness he brings to her and how much fun and silliness she brings to him. Ned proposed when they went for a walk on beach, and they are both dog obsessed – I mean, Kathryn works for Bark Box basically to my dogs she’s famous.

I was so excited to get to spend some time with Kathryn and Ned in New Orleans for their engagement session! Kathryn’s family is from New Orleans and they have all spent many years gathered at their grandmother’s home in NOLA. When Kathryn and Ned started planning their wedding they thought this city would be the perfect place for their families to come together as they say their I Do’s! We decided to start engagement photos around Jackson Square where their ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral and rehearsal dinner at Taboo will take place. Then we walked the extra vibrant (and I mean EXTRA vibrant haha it happened to be St. Patrick’s day weekend ; ) streets to their reception location, Arnaud’s. I immediately fell in love with Arnaud’s classic and timeless decor, and we had so much fun talking about their wedding plans and the celebration that would take place in that very spot. We toasted and cheered to them and their love and headed on to City Park for beignets at Morning Call. We loved walking through the park with all the giant, beautiful oak trees draped in spanish moss, and were truly spoiled by the most perfect sunset! Kathryn and Ned are getting married at the end of October, and I’m so excited to head back to NOLA and celebrate them finally getting married!!
