Happy 4th! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year!! I love the cheer that comes with celebrating our country, spending time carefree with friends and family, all things red white and blue and the delicious southern BBQ that is typically consumed. I have talked about doing a fun patriotic themed shoot every year but kept putting it off. I finally got two of my favorite fashionista’s together to make the shoot happen and it was such a blast!

Shout out to Madewell, Soca Clothing, Aviate and Coke for helping us get in the spirit. I’m obsessed with Soca’s ‘very independent’ t-shirt. From a young age my parents said “she wasn’t a bad child; she was just stubborn, strong- willed, and independent.” My independence is my biggest strength sometimes and my biggest weakness other times but I’m so incredibly thankful for each and every day I get to wake up and write my story. I’ll be forever grateful for those that fought and founded a country that aims to celebrate and welcome each others’ differences and allow independent thought. So cheers to those who fought and continue to fight for the life we get to live and celebrate today. And cheers to the independent women turned #girlbosses and the poor husbands who married us and parents that had to deal with us #godblessya
