Abby & Taylor :: A Birmingham Catholic Wedding

July 7, 2016

There are no words to describe the amount of love shown towards and from Abby and Taylor on their wedding day. Each moment of the day was full of peace, joy and contentment, despite a dramatic and eventful Friday the night before their wedding day. Abby and Taylor met at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio by faith in a lot of ways. I mean a boy from California and a girl from Alabama meet in Ohio – what are the odds?! Early crushes developed into a deep, Christ-centered love that has already inspired and impacted so many people. What made the day more special was to see all of the amazing examples of love and joy that surrounded Abby and Taylor. Each of their grandparents, both those present and those remembered, and their parents reflect so many beautiful qualities of love in their marriages.

After a beautiful ceremony at St. Pauls, Abby, Taylor, the bridal party, and I got to explore Birmingham a little before an evening reception at Iron City. We got to show their friends some classic Birmingham landmarks and leisurely document both Abby and Taylor’s love and the love all of their close friends had for them. I’m telling you… the love this group had for this couple was so infectious that if I could bottle it up and sprinkle it in the air for everyone, everyday I would! Just as the sun was setting we headed to Iron City to celebrate and dance the night away. Between the late night grilled cheese sandwiches, some hilarious and emotional toasts, a beautiful song sung by Taylor’s grandfather, some intense dance-offs and a killer band, I don’t know how anyone could ever want that night to end!

Have I mentioned how much I love my job and this couple? Yep. Okay, just making sure. Special thanks to my assistant, Lawrence Knox, who helped make documenting the whole day possible! Scroll down and see for yourself how beautiful (and fun) this couple’s love is!!

Don’t Miss!

  • Taylor’s grandfather sang a song to the new couple and blessed the start of their marriage. SO sweet. Both of Taylor’s grandparents had been married for over 50 years. One set has been married for over 60 – and they danced the night away 😉
  • The bridesmaids first look with Abby and Taylor’s reaction when he first saw Abby walk down the isle were priceless. Both times resulted in a different facial expression with each click of my camera.
  • Abby’s mom and Taylor’s mom held hands as they recessed out after the ceremony. What a beautiful moment!!
